ASSISTANT TEXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

  • Coordinated, organized, and oversaw events taking place on the museum grounds

    • Decided number and type of tables, chairs, and other settings; set up and arranged them; put everything away after the event ended

    • Supervised setup and takedown done by those renting museum spaces

    • Managed third-party personnel such as caterers, photographers, and sound engineers

    • Sold snacks and beverages during public events

    • Events included:​ weddings, private parties and dinners, festivals, public music performances, children's summer programs, private lessons

  • Handled all museum business when the Director was not available and represented the museum at fairs and other public events

    • Opened and closed the museum when the Director was not on site​

    • Operated the museum and took care of daily administrative duties on days the Director was not working

    • Answered visitor questions, sold event tickets, and acted as a docent for visitors

    • Attended activity fairs on behalf of the museum to attract visitors and advertise events

  • Supervised the activities of volunteers and those fulfilling community service requirements at the museum​​
