Indiana State Library Digitization Intern, September - December 2017
-
Scanned approximately three dozen objects in the library's special collections—early 20th century county atlases and Indiana law books from the first decade of its statehood—for a total of just over 2,000 individual images, and applied a naming scheme to all image files
-
Uploaded image files into the library's digital asset management system, CONTENTdm, and entered metadata for each object
-
Enhanced the metadata of previously uploaded objects to bring them into compliance with current standards

Indiana State Museum Collections Intern, May - August 2017
-
Created a shelf-by-shelf inventory of the museum's paper collections room
-
Reorganized the paper collections based on the museum's standard subject headings and object types
-
Corrected the locations of approximately 5,000 objects in the museum's collections management system, Mimsy XG
-
Assisted the collections manager with packing, moving, and condition reporting on returning fine art loans

Association of Midwest Museums Digitization Intern, October 2016 - August 2018

Sorted, weeded, and arranged approximately a dozen boxes of documents in the organizational archives
-
Scanned several hundred historical documents, including council meeting minutes, newsletters, and conference programs
-
Worked in conjunction with another volunteer to create and present a poster at annual conference on our accomplishments and discoveries

Generated social media content for AMM's website using scanned documents: "The More Things Change, The More They Stay The Same", "Conferences of Chicago Past—Part I", and "Conferences of Chicago Past—Part II"

Rebuilt the museum website from scratch using Adobe Dreamweaver

Acted as a docent by greeting visitors, selling tickets and souvenirs, answering questions, and conducting tours

Created event fliers, managed the online museum calendar

Aided the Director in managing events and other museum activities
